On Tuesday, Sept. 21, Prescott resident and member of the Prescott College faculty, K.L. Cook, will kick off a two-month tour for his award-winning book, Last Call. The collection of interconnected stories, which span three generations in the life of one West Texas family, won the 2003 Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction and will be published this October by the University of Nebraska Press.

Beginning this fall, Prescott College will offer a Doctor of Philosophy in education, with a focus in sustainability education. The new Ph.D. program, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a member of the North Central Association, enlarges the College’s mission to educate students of diverse ages and backgrounds to understand, thrive in, and enhance the world community and the environment.
