This postcard invitation (front) designed for the Highlands Center for Natural History received a 2011 American Graphic Design Award of Excellence in invitation design.

This invitation is a photo illustration I created
for the dean's fall party. The background is
a photo of Carnegie Lake I took in the fall
of 2000. The crew was cut from another
photo and inserted here. Their reflection
and ripples were created in Photoshop.
The dock in the corner was extracted from
a third photo and inserted into this composite.

This invitation features the flags of the home nations
of the faculty members of the School of Engineering
and Applied Science. I drew the flags in Illustrator. This
invitation makes the diversity of the SEAS visible. The
nations represented are identified on the back.

This invitation was designed for the Graduate
Women in Science and Engineering for the
first-ever graduation reception. I also created
their logo in the bottom left-hand corner.

This invitation invited faculty to come and meet the new Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

I created the annual holiday party invitation each year.

The retiree was a bicycle enthusiast and owned
an old model like the one pictured. He was
frequently spotted peddling around town on
his antique bike.

Dean Wei was instrumental in leading the fundraising efforts that made the new Friend Center for Engineering Education possible. For his retirement, it seemed appropriate to commission a watercolor of the new building to be used on the invitation.

To create this invitation, I scanned my U.S. passport as a background. I selected this design concept because the retiree planned to do extensive traveling. Click the image to download a PDF of the entire invitation (1.2mg).

I designed invitations for all events held by the Graduate
Women in Science and Engineering (GWISE). I also
designed their logo.

I created this invitation while at Prescott College. About 50 authors were invited to participate in an Author's Showcase--an all-day event held in celebration of the Grand Opening of the Crossroads Center.
