- Designed and implemented a professional communications program for the School of Engineering, including developing a mission statement.
- Provided leadership and management for the analysis, planning, and implementation of internal and external communications, including public relations and marketing.
- Supervised, planned, budgeted, and implemented comprehensive programs for communications and publications that were based on and linked to the University’s goals and objectives.
- Created a recruiting plan to attract students to a new degree program.
- Oversaw all promotional efforts, graphic design, copy writing, and copy editing by providing consultation and production management for brochures, posters, newsletters, and flyers.

- Developed the promotional campaign titled Princeton engineers have shaped the world…, to recruit graduate fellowship applicants. The campaign resulted in a 22 percent increase in acceptances into the master of engineering program the year after its launch.
- Conceived, developed and executed the promotional campaign titled Many voices, one vision, for the engineering school’s strategic planning process. This campaign was favorably received by all constituencies and won several professional awards.
- Researched Princeton University archives and compiled statistical information about engineering students that the Dean used in his presentations to “sell” the engineering school to University administrators, alumni, and potential students. These efforts resulted in the University’s president giving a new emphasis—and funding—to the School of Engineering.
- Reduced the overall operations budget of my office by one-third through increased efficiency and wiser use of resources.

Managing Editor, Med Ad News, an international magazine targeted to pharmaceutical industry executives.
- Planned, managed, and directed production of monthly magazine, including coordination of stories, illustrations, photography and layout.
- Supervised an editorial staff of seven.
- Edited all copy, rewrote when necessary.
- Attended and reported on FDA advisory committee meetings.
- Represented the magazine at industry functions, including the annual meeting of the American Medical Association and press conferences held by pharmaceutical manufacturers.
- Wrote the monthly special report —an in-depth analysis of selected industry topics, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes. These reports analyzed each pharmaceutical treatment available for that disease, including side effects and other pertinent information. Technical material had to be translated into layman’s terms for a diversified audience.
